Morris Hudson
Director, MO PTAC Central Region

Morris has been Director of the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Centers since December 1992. He came to this job after more than 27 years in many varied and interesting positions in contracting in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1991 with the rank of colonel. Some of the positions he held include buyer, contract administrator, procuring contracting officer, headquarters staff officer, supervisor at various levels including division chief of a major buying division responsible for spending approximately $1.5 billion per year, director, and commander of a contract administration office overseeing contracts in 10 European countries.

Prior to entering the Air Force, Morris worked as a department manager with Sears Roebuck and Co. After retirement he worked as an independent procurement consultant.

He holds a B.S. degree in Business Marketing for Indiana University and a M.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado.

Morris is currently president of the national Association of PTAC (APTAC) counselors. He is also a member of the North Central States Small Business Council and the National Contract Management Association.

He is married and has four children and four grandchildren.
